Blasted....COMPLETE

With the transmission and crossmember blasted, all the larger items were complete and it was time to clean up and get ready to tackle painting the chassis and interior sheetmetal. First step was to remove the plastic tarp I had over the Torino to try and minimize the amount of media getting into all the nooks and crannies of the body......

then I swept up the Sahara Desert that was covering the floor (and walls) of the blast booth......

what remained behind looked like the Great American Dustbowl.....

So the task of vacuuming up all the dust from all the body recesses as well as inside the frame rails will begin in earnest next weekend. I have an idea for making a vacuum attachment that will fit into the frame rail and hopefully allow me to get the majority of the crud from inside prior to coating the frame interior with Eastwood's Internal Frame Coating...

Stay tuned.......
