Well Saturday I worked at the bodyshop reinstalling the wiring harnesses, electrical components, a mini fuel tank and a new battery and after being neglected and left for dead for the last two and a half years at the former "shop" (I really hesitate to use that term due to the care they took with protecting what I had done prior to delivery and their assurances that they would keep it safe and looking like it had when delivered.😡) I filled the fuel bowls of the carb and hit the key....
and POW, she roared back to life! When she lit off, it sent a little field mouse scurrying away to a safer place! LOL 😂 don't know where he was hiding but I'm sure he'll think twice about taking up residence around the engine! Noticed the fuel return line from the fuel pump was leaking so I'll need to pick up a fresh piece of rubber fuel line to replace the old one. I'm also hopeful they can blow off the cobwebs and power wash the engine to blast away all the crud that has accumulated on the engine to save me a little bit of rework!😕
She's slowly coming together and I'm excited to see the next round of sheetmetal hung!!
STAY TUNED
